For both the 12-wk tumor response (odds ratio [OR] 1.43, 95% CI 1.17 to 1.76, P = 0.001, model area under the curve [AUC] = 0.80) and overall response (OR 1.66, 95% CI 1.30 to 2.12, P < 0.001, model AUC = 0.86), higher Tspan6 expression independently predicted for the response even after adjustment, suggesting that it has utility for stratifying patients who will respond to anti-EGFR therapy.
