Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-A165 is a well-known growth factor that is upregulated in many retinopathies, including wet-AMD,4 DR,5,6 diabetic macular edema (DME),7 retinopathy of prematurity (ROP),8 and neovascular glaucoma,9 as well as in in vitro models of oxidative stress in retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) cells.10 Here, VEGFA is linked to retinopathy of prematurity.
