Remarkably, lower expression levels of CAV1, CAV2, and CAVIN3 were significantly relevant to better RFS of patients with basal-like breast cancer, indicating in triple-negative breast cancer, caveolae-related genes may play different roles in carcinogenesis and tumor progression as them in hormone receptor-positive breast cancer (Table 3 and Figure S2). This evidence concerns the gene CAVIN3 and triple-negative breast carcinoma.
