PRAME (PReferentially expressed Antigen in MElanoma) is a tumor-associated antigen that was firstly identified by autologous T cells in patients with metastatic melanoma (M).1 Recently, Lezcano et al2 showed as immunohistochemical (IHC) assessment of PRAME could be extraordinarily useful in the differential diagnosis of melanocytic lesions, being expressed in the majority of M but not in nevi (N). The gene discussed is PRAME; the disease is metastatic melanoma.
