Spearman’s rank tests showed that the mRNA expression of SMPDL3B was positively correlated with the mRNA expression of CD123, CD96, and CD25 in 151 AML patients, indicating that SMPDL3B may regulate myeloid leukemia development via promoting self-renewal of leukemia stem cells (Figures 7A–C). The gene discussed is SMPDL3B; the disease is acute myeloid leukemia.
