Recently, inactivating mutations in the tumor suppressor gene BAP1 that codes for the breast cancer (BRCA)1-associated protein, an important member of many vital pathways including DNA damage signaling and repair (4), have been associated with significantly decreased time to recurrence in patients with rhabdoid meningioma and meningioma with rhabdoid features (5, 6). The gene discussed is BAP1; the disease is Rhabdoid Meningioma.
