Abnormal GRIA2 expression has also been demonstrated in several tumors and tumor cell lines (Yoshioka et al., 1996; Takeda et al., 2000; Rzeski et al., 2001; Abdul and Hoosein, 2005; Ishiuchi et al., 2007; Ni et al., 2020) and is thought to mediate increased cell proliferation.
