Alex et al. (2020) reported that dodecanoic acid (250 and 500 mg/kg body weight) stimulated the pancreatic β-cells to synthesize and secrete the insulin to maintain glucose homeostasis in a high-fat diet/STZ-induced type 2 diabetic rat models. The methanolic extract of Senna auriculata (L.)Roxb. bark potentiated the levels of insulin and C-peptide in diabetic rats. The activated remnant β-cells found in histological sections of the pancreas (Daisy and Jeeva Kani, 2012). Mohan et al.
