Oversoe et al. evaluated the presence of the CTNNB1 p.T41A mutation comparing tumor tissue DNA and ctDNA and found that liquid biopsy managed to reveal mutations that were not detected in single tumor biopsies, thus increasing the detection rate of the CTNNB1 mutation in HCC patients and suggesting that ctDNA could empower the perspective of a tailored treatment strategy [134].
