Recently, a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell based-immunotherapy approach targeting CD19 has demonstrated improved OS in R/R DLBCL and transformed follicular lymphoma (t-FL) after at least two lines of treatment, [2,3,4] leading to FDA/EMA approval of tisagenlecleucel (tisa-cel, Kymriah®, Novartis Pharma, Basel, Switzerland), axicabtagene ciloleucel (axi-cel, Yescarta®, Gilead-Kite, Santa Monica, CA, USA), and lisocabtagene maraleucel (liso-cel, Breyanzi®, Bristol-Meyers-Squibb, New York, NY, USA). The gene discussed is CD19; the disease is follicular lymphoma.
