Guo et al. have investigated the structural nature of Bombyx mori nucleopolyhedrovirus (BmNPV) polyhedrin during infection and could show that BmNPV polyhedrin shares characteristics of aggresomes at early times post-infection, including co-localization with both the MTOC marker γ-tubulin and aggresome-targeted fusion protein GFP-250, microtubule-dependent formation, as well as recruitment of mitochondria and Hsc/Hsp70 [57]. This evidence concerns the gene FUT1 and infection.
