Examining Snail and Zeb1 transcripts in The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) samples, we found their abundance to be significantly correlated in COADREAD (colorectal cancer), and that patients with a high abundance of Snail and Zeb1 show poor survival prognosis (Figure 1a), as do patients with a high abundance of either Snail or Zeb1 (Figure S1a). The gene discussed is ZEB1; the disease is colorectal cancer.
