Tuberculosis is associated with both lung squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma [69,70,71], leading to the release of inflammatory mediators such as IL-1, IL-2, and IL-12; tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α); and INF-γ, which induce the inflammation of lung tissues [47,48]. The gene discussed is TNF; the disease is squamous cell lung carcinoma.
