ZFP36L2 and hypothyroidism: Collectively, the data show evidence of hypothyroidism in the t-Zfp36l2-/- females and that the inactivation of Zfp36l2 in the thyroid affects the function of the gland in more ways than its development and morphology, except for the slight increase in apoptosis detected in the t-Zfp36l2-/- females.
