Significantly increased mRNA levels of CAPN10, CDK5, CDKN2A, IGF2BP2 and THADA, as well as significantly decreased levels of KCNQ1 and TSPAN8, were found in 151 AML patients compared to 407 normal individuals tested (Mann–Whitney p < 0.0004 for all). The gene discussed is CDK5; the disease is acute myeloid leukemia.
