Topical treatment with maxacalcitol, vitamin D3, in imiquimod-induced psoriasis mice model increased Treg infiltration and IL-10 expression in skin lesions, and adoptive transfer of Tregs from maxacalcitol-treated mice ameliorated psoriasis-like dermatitis in donor mice, indicating a functional suppressive phenotype [50].
