In the present study, data from TIMER and LinkedOmics databases revealed that levels of WISP2 were lower in tumour tissues than in normal liver tissues, and high expression of WISP2 was associated with better prognosis in HCC patients, as revealed by the Kaplan–Meier plotter, indicating WISP2 is a protective factor in HCC. The gene discussed is CCN5; the disease is neoplasm.
