With the exception of SNU398, the HCC cell lines (Fig. 1f) expressed less of the truncated isoform (i.e. PRRX1a) than the longer isoform PRRX1b. These analyses support that PRRX1 is frequently upregulated in liver tumours, while data from experimental models suggest that PRRX1 may be more expressed in well differentiated cells. This evidence concerns the gene PRRX1 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
