DRD1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus: Distinguished from those in the health donors, frequencies of the 231A and 233G alleles were much higher in the patients with EH and T2DM, which subsequently altered the binding affinity of miR-195-5p toward the 3′-UTR and deregulated the post-transcriptional regulation of DRD1. Taken together, our research revealed that serum miR-195-5p exhibits clinical significance with respect to non-invasive diagnosis and interventional therapeutics and provides insights into the pathogenesis of EH with T2DM.
