In contrast, EZH2 expression is elevated in coronary artery disease (Fig. 1h,i) and an increasing coronary artery intima-media thickness ratio associates with increased EZH2 expression (r2 = 0.4417, p = 0.004, Fig. 1i), suggesting reciprocity between MAPK7 and EZH2 in human coronary artery disease.
