WNT3A and colorectal carcinoma: Lin et al. (2020) explored the effect of BMSCs on F. nucleatum-induced CRC. The authors verified that F. nucleatum induced BMSCs to transplant to the submucosa and mucosal layer and simultaneously activated the Wnt signaling pathway. Furthermore, after stimulation with F. nucleatum, BMSCs accelerated the tumorigenesis of CRC by increasing the secretion of the Wnt3a protein. In summary, F. nucleatum modulates the TME to accelerate tumorigenesis by BMSCs.
