The functional study of glycolysis-related lncRNAs in bladder cancer has found that lncRNA-SLC16A1-AS1 could be used as a target of E2F1 and a co-activator to induce metabolic reprogramming in the progression of bladder cancer (Logotheti et al., 2020), and lncRNA UCA1 up-regulated hexokinase 2 in bladder tumor cells to promote glycolysis through the mTOR–STAT3/microRNA143 pathway (Li et al., 2014). Here, SLC16A1 is linked to urinary bladder carcinoma.
