Combination therapy with TKI including EGFR-TKI gefitinib and ALK-TKI crizotinib were expected in recent years because of the limited efficacy of anti-PD1/PDL1 for EGFR mutations and ALK rearrangements patients with advanced NSCLC (Gainor et al., 2016; Lisberg et al., 2018); however, severe hepato-toxicities among patients were observed in CheckMate 370 (nivolumab plus crizotinib) and KEYNOTE-021 (pembrolizumab plus gefitinib) (Spigel et al., 2018; Yang et al., 2019). The gene discussed is ALK; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
