Given that miR-556-5p is capable of regulating both cisplatin-sensitivity and NLRP3-mediated cell pyroptosis, and activation of pytoptotic cell death increases cisplatin-sensitivity in NSCLC, we conjectured that silence of miR-556-5p might increase cisplatin-sensitivity in NSCLC via recovering NLRP3-mediated cell pyroptosis. Here, NLRP3 is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
