Carbohydrate antigen199 (CA199) and carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) are commonly used pancreatic cancer biomarkers (Chen et al., 2015b), although serum interleukin 6 family cytokine (LIF) is more effective than CA199 and CEA in predicting lymph node and distant metastasis (Jiang et al., 2021).
