Compared to the control group, the results of KEGG pathway enrichment analyses showed that the upregulated proteins were mainly involved in cytokine-cytokine receptor interactions and complement and coagulation cascades, whereas the downregulated proteins were mainly involved in cancer pathways, the PI3K-Akt signaling pathway, proteoglycans in cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, and cellular senescence (Figure 5(a)). This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
