Accordingly, upregulation of the innate immune receptor Toll-Like-Receptor 3 (TLR3) was shown after ZIKV infection of human organoids at early days in vitro (15 days), and inhibition of TLR3 reduced the phenotypic effects of ZIKV infection (Dang et al., 2016).
