Using genomic and transcriptomic breast cancer data [78,79], we found that tumor cell expression of the CTGs listed in Table 1 to be seemingly mutually exclusive of inactivating mutations in BRCA1 and BRCA2, although the results were not statistically significant due to low sample size of tumors containing BRCA1/BRCA2 mutations and CTG overexpression. This evidence concerns the gene BRCA2 and breast carcinoma.
