This analysis revealed significantly higher expression of HIF1α and its targets in GBM vs LGG, particularly those involved in glycolysis (PDK1, PGK1, HK2, SLC2A1/GLUT1, SLC16A3/MCT4, LDHA), angiogenesis (VEGF-A), and tyrosine receptor signaling pathway (IGFBP2) (Fig. 1A).
