According to the heart failure treatment guidelines [34], angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB), and beta-blockers are the cornerstones of treatment of HF, but as presented in Table-3, the percentages of prescribing these drugs for patients who referred to the hospital with decompensated HF were 13%, 43.2%, and 41.3%, respectively, and 53.7% received ARB/ACEI. The gene discussed is ACE; the disease is heart failure.
