Compared to non-NAFLD subjects, NAFLD patients had higher BMI, BP, WC, HC, WHR, FBG, WBC, ALT, AST, GGT, ALP, Urea, UA, Crea, TC, TG, LDL-C, and HCY levels (all P < 0.05) and lower AST/ALT and HDL-C levels (both P < 0.001). This evidence concerns the gene GPT and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
