Although most upregulated proteins were related to immunoglobulins (Igs), some were closely related to inflammatory or autoimmune diseases, including monocyte differentiation antigen CD14 (CD14), lipopolysaccharide-binding protein (LBP), serum amyloid P-component (SAP/APCS), tenascin (TNC), and cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP). This evidence concerns the gene LBP and autoimmune disease.
