Recently, a prospective study of 533 women with stage I-II, hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer showed no significant associations between the 21-gene RS and overall metabolic syndrome status (defined as presence of ≥3 of the following: body mass index ≥27.7 kg/m2; hypertension; impaired fasting glucose; HDL <50 mg/dl; hypertriglyceridemia) or any individual components (30). This evidence concerns the gene ERBB2 and hypertriglyceridemia.
