The in-depth analysis of prostate cancer patients receiving olaparib revealed that mainly BRCA1/2 mutations were associated with the tumor response, while subjects with alterations in other genes of HRD pathway derived no benefit from this drug, despite that the registration documents pooled together BRCA1/2 and non-BRCA1/2 mutations [59, 60]. The gene discussed is BRCA1; the disease is prostate carcinoma.
