To evaluate whether DMF affects the expression of FcgR in macrophage, we measured the expression of activating receptors (FcγRI and FcγRIV) and inhibitor receptor (FcγRIIb) after DMF treatment and found that DMF treatment significantly downregulated the expression of activating receptors (FcγRI and FcγRIV) without affecting the expression of FcγRIIb (Fig. 6), suggesting that DMF-induced downregulation of the expression of FcγRI and FcγRIV might also contribute to the preventative effect of DMF in platelet destruction in ITP mouse model. This evidence concerns the gene FCGR2B and autoimmune thrombocytopenic purpura.
