In the European–American (EA) discovery sample (1809 cases and 292 controls), a genome-wide significant (GWS) association was found between cocaine dependence and rs150954431 (Table 3), located in the NCOR2 gene (nuclear receptor corepressor 2) that regulates gene expression by activating histone deacetylase 3, and has been involved in memory [40]. The gene discussed is NCOR2; the disease is cocaine dependence.
