Interestingly, the subjects at age ≤ 60 years old with NAT2 low acetylator phenotype were at almost ten-fold increased risk to develop bladder cancer than carriers of NAT2 high acetylator phenotype (OR=9.96 95% CI=1.16-85.90, p=0.037) with statistical significance. Here, NAT2 is linked to urinary bladder carcinoma.
