Pooled data showed that the PON1 rs854560 polymorphism was significantly associated with risk of breast cancer under all four genetic models, i.e., allele (A vs. T: OR=2.107, 95% CI: 1.401-3.167; p≤0.001), homozygote (AA vs. TT: OR= 3.214, 95% CI: 1.757-5.879; p≤0.001, Figure 2B), heterozygote (AT vs. TT: OR= 0.379, 95% CI: 0.208-0.691; p=0.002), dominant (AA+AT vs. TT: OR= 1.868, 95% CI: 1.293-2.700; p=0.001) and recessive (AA vs. AT+TT: OR= 3.067, 95% CI: 1.687-5.575; p≤0.001). Here, PON1 is linked to breast cancer.
