When all the eligible studies were pooled into the meta-analysis, a significant association was found between PON1 rs662 and breast cancer under all three genetic models, i.e., allele (G vs. A: OR= 0.719, 95% CI: 0.648-0.798; p≤0.001, Figure 1A), homozygote (GG vs. AA: OR= 0.542, 95% CI: 0.332-0.885; p=0.014) and dominant (GG+GA vs. AA: OR= 0.720, 95% CI: 0.330-0.864; p=0.011). The gene discussed is PON1; the disease is breast cancer.
