To explore the anti-cancer activity of the NK cells, we measured their cytokine secretion, including IFN-γ, TNF-α, and granzyme B. We observed that in fact NK cells secreted higher levels of the cytokines IFN-γ, TNF-α, and granzyme B upon engagement with PBP-primed cancer cells compared to non-PBP-primed cancer cells (Figure 2B). This evidence concerns the gene TNF and cancer.
