NPSR1 and Anxiety: The anxiolytic-like effects of intra-LA/BLA NPS were associated with enhanced glutamatergic transmission in mpara interneurons, possibly via NPSR1 in LA principal neurons [41], and they were antagonized by the NPSR1 antagonist SHA68 and an oxytocin receptor antagonist [21,43], indicating that the modulation of the behavioural anxiety response by NPS likely involves the oxytocinergic system.
