Similar findings have been found in other diseases, where ceruloplasmin (CP) has been found to be one of the potential biomarkers for the diagnosis of hepatocellular carcinoma [34], CP can promote the growth and angiogenesis of tumor cells in breast cancer [35], plasma CP levels are significantly increased in patients with developing ovarian cancer, and the CP promoter shows significantly higher activity in ovarian cancer compared with normal organs [36, 37]. This evidence concerns the gene CP and hepatocellular carcinoma.
