Recent clinical practice guidelines, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), specified that patients treated with high-dose anthracyclines (e.g., doxorubicin ≥ 250 mg/m2) or lower-dose anthracyclines (e.g., doxorubicin < 250 mg/m2) in combination with anti-HER2 therapy (e.g., trastuzumab) are at increased risk of HF [13,14]. This evidence concerns the gene ERBB2 and hydrops fetalis.
