Cancer cells are known to resist activation of the cGAS-STING pathway, and it has been reported that silencing of STING or cGAS prevents the induction of antitumor immune responses in colorectal cancer [23], malignant melanoma [24], ovarian cancer [25], and KRAS-mutant non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) [26].
