NFKB1 and myotonic dystrophy type 1: PLEKHG5, which is upregulated in DM1 myotubes (log2FC = 1.2), is an activator of the nuclear factor kappa B (NFKB1) signalling pathway, which modulates the switch between muscle proliferation and differentiation, and inhibits late-stage differentiation by silencing myofibrillar gene transcription.
