Interestingly, while, as expected, melanocytes (adult and neonatal) showed little expression of these three genes, but high expression of TRPM1 (Figure 11, first row), all primary melanoma lines—including IGR39—showed a decreased expression of TRPM1 and highly increased expression of KCNMA1 and TRPM2, and also of KCNN4 in three out of four (Figure 11, second row). This evidence concerns the gene TRPM2 and melanoma.
