This study demonstrated that the activation of PXR by MK-4 suppresses proliferation and motility, which plays a significant role in intrahepatic metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma cells, thereby preventing the occurrence and recurrence of these cells by acting as a cofactor of GGCX, as well as a ligand to enhance the activation of PXR. The gene discussed is NR1I2; the disease is hepatocellular carcinoma.
