IL1B and Alzheimer disease: The HFFD/LPS increased the hippocampal content of the surrogate AD marker (a) Aβ1-42 (3.2 fold) to override the LPS effect and boosted the content of the inflammatory cytokine (c) IL-1β (5.6 fold), effects that were associated by a sharp decrease in the hippocampal content of the neurotransmitter (b) ACh.
