STAT3 and colorectal carcinoma: Taking into consideration the association between these three signaling pathways and their involvement in CRC development, the aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of a poly-carboxylic fatty acid (caperatic acid (Cap)), depsides (atranorin (Atra), lecanoric acid (Leca) and squamatic acid (Squam)) and depsidones (physodic acid (Phys) and salazinic acid (Salaz)) (Figure 1) on the Nrf2, NF-κB and STAT3 transcription factors and the level of expression of their target genes in the same cell lines.
