When adjusting by all potential confounders in the repeated-measures generalized model, including age > 60 years old, smoking history, diabetes mellitus, coronary artery disease, cerebrovascular disease, duration of HD, albumin, fasting glucose, and antiplatelet agent use (significant variables in Table 4), using the estimated slopes by a repeated-measures generalized model, the adjusted difference between the death and non-death groups showed 0.30 (95% CI, 0.06 to 0.53; p = 0.0125) for CTR.
