In univariate analysis, extended hospitalization was associated with the presence of HF and markers of HF severity (dyspnea at rest, ADHF, NT-proBNP with a cut-off value > 1986 pg/mL and lower EF—cut-off value < 44%) and IHD (ACS, p < 0.001; prior myocardial infarction, p < 0.001; chest pain on admission, p = 0.04). This evidence concerns the gene NPPB and hydrops fetalis.
